Multi disciplinary designer Myles Grimsdale graduated from London's Central St.Martin’s School of Art in Fashion Design. After launching a new division for Diesel in Italy (DSL55), he relocated to New York to become Head of Menswear for Calvin Klein (cK Khakis & cK Jeans), followed by the position of Design Director for Tommy Hilfiger. Setting up his own design studio, he soon began working with further brands including: Helmut Lang, D&G, Levi’s, Burton Snowboards & Stussy.
Moving to Los Angeles, Myles worked on several notable advertising campaigns, including The Gap’s ‘Every Generation’ TV & print campaign directed by Cameron Crowe, The Coen Brothers and Roman Cappola. Further projects include costume design for Tim Burton’s ‘Planet of the Apes’ and Steven Soderbergh’s ‘Oceans 12’, as well as personal designs for Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom and Justin Timberlake.
After returning to the UK to become the Global Design Director for Timberland, he eventually moved on to study film at The Met Film School in Ealing Studios which led to the production design of his first feature film ‘Lipstikka’ written and directed by Jonathan Segall (Schindler’s List). Since then Myles has worked as a Production Designer and Art Director for several award winning films and commercials. Projects include art direction for the ‘Hair by Sam McKnight’ book (Rizzoli) and accompanying exhibition at Somerset House, Stella McCartney's 'Clever Care’ campaign and designs for the Alpinestars/ Keanu Reeves collaboration.
